I think sending out emails to everyone wont serve the purpose. It will become more of a Spam from IV, which won't help in any way.
AFAIK, IV sends email to its members, when they have updates. I hope this helps.
Also, all the state chapter leaders have been asked to sent out emails to their respective state chapters. So, people will be knowing about this campaign.

Senator Specter seems to emphasize that he would like to get done with amendments etc. and to make sure that he meets Bill Frist's deadline of March 27th so that it can be debated
Senator Brownback is bringing an amendment to extend J1 visa which apparently expires this year
Will keep on updating as and when I hear things
No visa cap for nurses/physical therapist esp for India, China and Phillipines
Apparently the quorum is not present at the committee to vote on the amendments, but senator Specter is stating whether he will support the amendment or not.

That comment was made for Family Visas, since everyone who applies on Family Visa, might not eventually get it. I read here that King said that everyon on EAD and AP is getting a free ride even thought here green card might get rejected. What does he mean by that. I tahught every process goes thorugha security check. such as I 140, H1b, AP and even EAD.

I have been a donor since 2006 and donated about $1000+ through 3 or 5 one time payments and monthly subscription of $20.
But I discontinued my monthly subscription seeing absence of IV core for long time in 2008. But more than that I was completely pissed off with free riders with one time questions and then disappearing, nanny questions, people sharing jokes on this forum, people commenting on the internal matters of their own country and so on. I felt the forum was being used for all other matters except the one issue it was formed to address: "RETROGRESSION in EB IMMIGRATION".
I am fully supportive of paid membership and welcome this step. I thank IV admin for the same.
Now my questions are
What is the vision / mission/ purpose behind the "donor forum"?
whether members will still be able to post questions for free and get answers? And of course vanish after that.
Would the anti immigrants still be able to use our forum and make posts to tease us?
And most importantly do I have start monthly subscription again to gain access to this forum? If yes, Can I just restart my $20 monthly subscription?

I believe the majority ofthe IV members are from Indian origins. they should contact the Indian community that donated money to Hilary and ask why she voted against legal immigrants. she is preparing for her election compaign. I am sure she will answer or at least she will know that we are following her votes against us.

I feel like giving up today after I saw a friend of mine leaving to india with a US Citizenship and an overseas citizen of india card.
The irony is he applied two months after me in the same category except his application was from a different state.
Now it makes me think, if I have to go through this process and after 5 years if I end up like my friend, then I might as well do it now...:confused:
Going back after US citizenship makes sense. He can come back when he wants and also get social security, medicare etc
But going back before that is defeat.

The whole thing is very confusing sir. Just like the bible, for which different groups come up with different interpretations, we are being confronted with many intrepretations for this bill. Lets look at what the IV has to provide in the bill summary they have posted. Most probably that is a version prepared by the "patton-boggs" law firm.

In my opinion, the most likely reason why EB2 India dates have been advanced to June 2006 is to help consular posts. CP filers can get their interviews now.
IMO, This along with the max utilization of ideal 100% is what DOS got at by moving EB2 to 06/01/2006.
It appears like DOS wants to get each and every visa number allocated and given how USCIS have their files across the country, moving it well beyond gives USCIS a chance to pick the files that are handy.
In other words, Some on with Jan 06 PD can get out if their file is handy. Some one with Jan 04 (there are still who dont have a GC with 03 and 034 PD's) might still be waiting come dec 08., if their file is rotting some where.
IMO, OCT bulletin will start EB-2 India some where around APR 04.
