I am having a home loan with ICICI. I strongly recommend do not go with ICICI. They are very fast to increase variable APR. If it declines their comment was who are watching a market. In one instance all other banks reduced their VR but not ICICI. When I emailed ,they simple said we will let you know if there any changes but never reduced. In case increasee even before announcement by RBI, they increased my APR. More over If I want to repay earlier they are charging 2% penalty. so I stongly advice do not look ICICI bank for load if you want save some money. They are not right when it comes to loan. I had always difficult to change my address on my A/c

hi! i am a physical therapist on h1b...all this news abt retrogression is too scary...i had a few qs:
what is the scenario for someone like me who would file I-140 in the next couple of months?
what are the chances of Schedule A being alloted additional visa numbers in the next 2 years?
how much wait time would be expected under EB 3 category for India for someone whose priority date wud b oct or nov'07???

I think I have been very lucky so far. I don't think USCIS processes based on anything concrete, I think it's a little random. Or maybe I am just lucky.

I applied for PERM in Sep 2006 - EB3 - India.
I got approved for PERM in Mar 2007.

I applied for I-140 and I-485 concurrently in Jun 2007.
I-140 got approved July 20, 2007 and on July 23, 2007 I received all 4 receipts for I-140, I-485, EAD and AP. So my approval came before my receipt. I live in California so everything went to Nebraksa.

Lawyers emailed saying they also received the EAD card yesterday July 23, 2007.

Now I have to wait for only AP and Adjustment. And I still have 5 years left on my H1-B (2 years on this visa and then another extension).

So I say, anything is possible. I wake up every morning and pray to USCIS because they made my life better :) :) :)

I applied for PERM in Sep 2006 - EB3 - India.
I applied for I-140 and I-485 concurrently in Jun 2007.

If your PD is Sep 2006, how could you file I-485 in Jun 2007? Your dates are current only in July 2007.

I am in EB2 with a US Master's degree. My priority date is April 2006 and my case is not approved. Many of friends same boat as me are not approved.

So "reddymjm" I don't think all US Master's degree in EB2 are approved.

Hi, the website says my case was certified but my employer and my lawyer did not receive the hard copy yet. It got certified July 17. How long does it take for me to receive it? What should I do?

The news about these amendments really lightened up our suffering retrogressed souls.


But its really unfortunate to know that President Bush is gonna veto the bill altogether.

Only lawyer or the employeer contact can call for labor status queries. DOL does not know you exist. Be careful there is no relation between labor and green card AOS. If you call it shows that you intend to immigrate while on H1. It might work against you.

Can anyone please post a 'sample letter' and the contact information?
I want to post a hard copy of the letter personally to the Atlanta center.

Stuck since April 15th.

How does removing the cap from Schedule A, benefit the rest of us?


Nurses from India, Phi also eat up EB3 numbers beyond their alloted .... My understanding is that they will not compete for any eB3 numbers after this...

Concurrent filing can be done by anyone with approved Labor Certification. Schedule A applicants already have pre-approved LC.

This means, that not only Schedule A can file concurrently but also others as well.

started processing GC in 2003
filed 1st application in 2003 - application went to backlog elimination center
left the company, filed second application in March 2006 - EB2
got I 140 approval in 2006
applied for I485 in June 2007
Waiting till today for the I485 approval
