I consider FOIA is a multifold success. Not only we achieved milestone 1 of $5K, we were successful enough to wake up members to do something after long time. Why do you think the very same members were sleeping? I don't believe IV Core was not doing anything in last few months but members always felt that there is no plan of action from IV. There is nothing worst could happen to us just by disclosing our plan of actions in controlled way like:
1. <<ABC>> is preparing document for final data information.
2. <<XYZ>> is evaluating other options how we could retrieve this information.
3. <<DEF>> is understanding how FOIA works and how long it will take us to get data and what will be the best option to get it earlier.
4. <<MMM>> is working on funding drive for this.
There is no reason to hide even this kind of information. But if we do this, members understand what we are doing at high level.

Rather I would like to add more items to what u have listed-
1. Its wrong for EB2 filers to find/marry a us citizen. That will be unethical of them to do as they will be jumping lines. Because u would be unable to do if u would have married non-citizen..so based on GCTest's logic please dont marry us citizen or if u have marriued continue to only use you EB2 application for processing :-)
2. Also people who are now planning of using EB5 (assuming u have now saved/gather enough money). So EB2, EB3 or other people u have been saving money and are now thinking of risking ur money/career/life on EB5 filing..please dont do that...because that will be unethical.....u r doing it bcos u now have money. Per GCTest's logic u did not having money u filed ur EB2 or EB3 application so if u have money now...dont try to use it.

Glad to see there are people like me on this thread. I came to the US in FEB 1995 as an undergrad. I have an MS today and dropped out of the PHD program (2000) to find a job because of recessions. Survived 3 top-notch companies, recessions, despicable back-stabbing coworkers, unethical and unworkable environment, lay-offs, legal dept messing up my H1b application making me go on unpaid leave (~3wks) without health insurance, filing me under EB3 while applying EB2 for another coworker from a diff country with the same job title, etc etc....my rear end is pretty soar these days and I am beginning to question all this....

If somebody is sending this letter, please do not send it without taking care of word-suggested corrections. There are too many green lines, most of the times because of spacing between two words.
OP - My intention is not to offend you but to point out the need for improvement in the document.
Don't worry! EB-3 is supposed to be low-skilled so nobody is going to frown at grammatical or typographical errors. :)

That contradicts US Embassy provisions of H1 stamping, when you first go for the visa interview. Doesn't the US Embassy/Consulate state that you should be able to prove your intent NOT to abandon your country of origin, show you family ties, financial connections. Am I right? I can give a ton of links from US Consulate web sites with those exact words.
Now, what you are talking is dual intention: get H1B visa and get on the permanent residence highway, at the earliest opportunity.
It's OK to start with an empty kitty in SS and Medicare account, just when are about to get your Green Card than to walk back to your country losing 10 to 20 grand of your own money after 6 or 7 years. Uncle Sam should not collect SS Tax and Medicare from temporary workers. Period.

Yeah I am EB3 India June 2003 too. Not sure when our turn will come, IF at all the way things are crawling here. Sometimes I really feel there is no justice to some of the IV members on here. I wonder which is worse, the corruption in India or the bureaucracy in the USA. Atleast in India, if I would have bribed the official, I would have had the documents by now.

The amendments were on the senate side and the HR bills are from the house side. Please contact your state chapter lead (walking_dude for MI) for updates and find out what's happening. We have lot of work to do and we really need volunteers. I am unable to post any info. on this public forum which is open to the world.
