Does anyone know to what address USCIS mails the AP. Is it the lawyer's office or is it the home address?
I am planning to move and information on this will be very helpful. Thanks!
I have a similar question -- the USCIS site says document mailed on Dec 26th, but I am yet to receive it. I have not heard from the Lawyers either. USCIS mailed the receipt to the lawyers but EAD to our home, what's the deal with AP - home or lawyers?

My lawyer received it on Dec 16th - they said that they need at least 2 weeks to answer the RFE. They also mentioned that the RFE doesn''t ask for any specific paperwork , its like a Question-Answer Form.
a) Why do you need this guy

Me too. Actually , when the movement is not systematic and the gates are wide open, then they randomly pick up the cases and approve whatever file comes to them. The ones with older PDs suffer a lot while the ones with new ones get their GCs.

So, how come Consulates got the latest information? Why not post this on the DOS page too by the DOS?

We won't know if it effective unless we execute it, which is the biggest issue with us "the execution".
So far as locating old PDs are concerned, it USCIS knows it exists and if there is willinglness, they can dig it out from anywhere.
On the other hand , if this not fixed then even if there are 200K extra visas, the sufferings will persist.

Earlier I got a PM from immigration (name on the handle, not USCIS). He has contributed $100 for this round. That takes us to the final 6 shots. Remember these shots can be taken by anyone who believes that IV is doing a great job in order to make necessary changes. Thanks to the glorious service of the Atlanta center :mad: I missed the I-485 bus by 7 days( Labor cleared on Aug end ). Many people with later PD's got cleared from the Chicago PERM center . Now I just watch as all members get their EAD's and AP's while I wait with nothing but hope and watch legislation after legislation fail in the senate and house , and the letters flying all over the place .
I remember my past by reading your sad story. Though I had different cause for my tragedy. In Year 2000 November my then employer filed RIR labor and I got approval in January 12th 2001 and Same day HR filed my I-140. On January 22nd during companywide mass lay off I was slashed.. Again go through one more lay off in year 2002 with different employer and still waiting for GC(After filing 4th application in year 2003, Rotting in PBEC for almost 4 years)... Best Luck to you.

In this era of IT, USCIS keeps crying about being bombarded suddenly with this application that applications. I wonder such a big agency doesn't have projections etc. When you Adjudicated millions of Green cards lin 2002-2003 than obviously you are going to get bombarded with Application for Citizenship in 2007 you weren't prepared for that ??? This organization is headed by most incompetant people who doesn't have any clue of Management, I guess they should go back to school...

HSBC denied my refinance application because of EAD status. They said EAD is not one of the statuses they accept. They needed either H1B or GC status. I lost my $325 rate locking fee, not sure what else my real estate attorney is going to charge me because of this denial. I am in the process of talking to other banks.

This is not true in most cases. The F1 might be for 2 yrs minimum + 1 year EAD + at least 2 yrs on H1B before the GC process starts. Then its 7+ years...
So overall, we are talking 10+ years to get permanant residency in a majority of cases.

This scenarios is for those who used all 6 years on H1 and got H1 extension due to a pending AOS application. they may have EADs too..
