Hi Gurus,
I wanted to know if I can work for H-1B with my current company which holds my H-1B and work outside with another company on EAD. Is there a chance that I may loose my H-1B status if I work with EAD.

my wife went to mumbai embassy. after intw they said they need some more info in their systems before issuing the visa. It was h1 renewing. But they didn't keep the passport. Told to submit the passport after they sent email or call you. They did sent the email to submit the passport within 2 days.

Company A applied for labor(EB2) in Dec2006. It was approved.
My I140 was filed in March 2007 and approved on Jan 10 2008.
I did not file for I485 in July 2007.
I had changed companies in April 2007.Presenly I am on Company B payroll.
Now, If I move back to Company A, would I be able to apply for my I485 when the date opens.
The online status for I140 says, Approved.
I am in good terms with both the employers.
If I move to company A; at the time of applying I485, do I need to have paystubs from Company A?
Please help. Thanks

I have been in the US for a couple of years working on an E-1 Visa. I am now filing my I-765 because my Visa is tied to me working for a particular company and is not transferable. I have a social security card.
I am now not sure if I should fill this out as if I am applying for a or b:
A) Permission to accept employment
B) Replacement (of lost employment authorization document)
C) Renewal of my permission to accept employment (attach previous employment authorization document). Form I-76
If it is C, should I attach a copy of my E-1 Visa and my Social Security card or something else?
Also, for question 11 (Have you ever before applied for employment authorization from USCIS)? I don't think I have. I think my E-1 Visa came with this right and that I only dealt with the social security office.
Please help if you know the answer

I entered U.S with B1/B2 visa and got changed into F1 status. While F1 status got approved
I departed U.S due to family matter.
Now I'd like to make it sure that my B1/B2 visa is still valid,because I plan to visit to my friend who lives in U.S.
How to check my B1/B2 visa could be remained still valid?

I am in H1B visa (valid until 10/2011), my wife is in F1 student (valid until 8/2011). We just got married 1 month ago in US. currently, we are staying in US. Now, she would like to stop studying for some reasons. To keep her valid stay in US, I have to transfer her f1 to h4. Could you please let me know step by step what I should do, what form I should take…etc.
Does she need any visa interview after filing the transferring f1 to H4?
Can she inform the school that she will stop studying right after filing visa transferring? (the school will stop her f1 if they know that).

My firm is about to start greencard processcing for me and this is the first time that they are undergoing this process. If your I-140 is approved then you can renew H1B for 3 years, else it will be in one year increments.

As expected this happened, but it happened sooner than expected.
This expected sooner because CIR was voted out in Senate and this was not thought about by this goverment.
Basically this was a close door arrangement between govt agencies which temporarily wanted to lower the friction by IV AND SIMILAR GROUPS.
BUT finally I believe this will come to a rest once we have new government next year.
Till that we are a tennis ball which can be tossed to any court.
PS: I dont even have I-140 and not even applied for one.

Can the primary applicant travel on AP while an MTR is filed to appeal the denial for the dependent? NOD was issued as a result of CIS erroneously stating that the non-immigrant status of the dependent lapsed for over 180 days.

My labor is approved, but haven't received approval from immigration yet. Online status is showing it is 'CERTIFIED'. Can I file I-140/485 with just electronic confirmation of labor in case if it get delayed in receiving approval? Bwy does anybody have an idea in how many days immigration will dispatch the approval copy of labor after it is certified?
